Galaxy is a white Fancy Leaf caladium variety. These shade to full sun loving caladium bulbs or tubers are great for adding easy color to your late spring and summer plantings. Galaxy is a variety that was developed by Paul George Phypers, Sr. who was the patriarch of Happiness Farms. He named it Galaxy because he thought it looked like a burst of stars. Galaxy is considered tall in height (2 – 2.5 ft). Galaxy caladium bulbs are tropical foliage plants that are easy to grow in landscaping, pots and planters. Galaxy caladiums have large dark green leaves with a starburst of white central veins, a red dot at the heart, and sprinkling of light pink spots. White caladiums make beautiful accents and add contrast and texture against other green foliage and brighten the dark, shaded areas of your landscaping. Caladium bulbs originated in the Amazon Basin, which is why they require and thrive in the warm summer day and night temperatures. Caladiums are from the Araceae family and mix well with other annuals, Hosta’s, ferns, and foliage.
